So, Saturday I'm off to the parents house. Tomorrow night M's parents are coming down, stopping the night and then heading back to the midlands. I'm having a meal with him, his parents and his grandparents, then off to endure whatever mishaps my parents house will hold. I'm incredibly anxious about it all, because it's not been the best year financially for them, and they can't deal with stress in any productive way (I can see where I get my flailing from). Sooo I'm anticipating stress. 

I'm only there until boxing day, then back up here and work on Thursday. Yaay. Will have some time to myself to decompress after Christmas as I'm not sure when M's coming back but it won't be the same day as me, so yeah. 

The short story is, I'm not going to have guaranteed/great access to the Internet until Wednesday evening, so:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I hope you all have brilliant weekends/holidays, Christmas, if you celebrate it. 

I'm looking forward to the actual day - I love playing with the kids and helping set things up (we all clubbed together to get them a wii with all assorted bits and pieces, they're going to be so excited!). It's just the run up with everyone stressing out that's going to be awful.

I'm not going to be watching Merlin, as I haven't at all, and I'm not ready at all for the end, but I'm not that fussed about spoilers? So there's that. I'm feeling a bit distanced from fandom in general, but I think that's because of RL, so after Christmas I think I'll be fine.

I've signed up for hp_kinkfest again! Got an awesome Remus/Sirius prompt, because otp <3. I'll do more writing after the holidays.

This weekend I'm off to see a Dave Gorman gig, which I'm totally looking forward to. We were going to the Manchester Day parade, but it's the same day as the gig, and the weather is atrocious here, so we might hibernate instead!

So, I was wondering if anyone would be up for a postcard exchange? Because I love sending/receiving post, and it's been years since I've sent a postcard to someone I met on the internet.

The postcards from me will wither be your normal shop brought ones (from Manchester), or photos that I'll take and get printed myself (I'm looking at printing prices right now :)). I would love to receive one in exchange - I love to see what the places people live are like :D

Feeling human once more and managed to eat almost a whole plate full of food! Tired like no one's business and a pounding head, but I can totally deal with those.

Plan to spend tomorrow lazing around and then getting on with my week off as planned.

My muse has left, I'm hoping it's because I'm ill and I can get back into the swing of things in a couple of days, now I've got the time to actually do some proper writing.

I tried to watch Parked last night...but I fell asleep. For 12 hours. There's always tomorrow!

Weekend!

Feeling pretty good right now, lots of stuff to do this weekend, but will be good to get it all off my plate (and get one step closer to a pay rise!).

I want to say thank you for all the kind words, hugs and general awesomeness you all offer me. I know I whine a lot, but you always make me feel better. I'll try to be more positive from now on :)

So, for several rant-worthy reasons, I'll probably not be online in any coherent way between now and Christmas, so. Apart from possibly to put up a quick post at the bar to celebrate the last merlin ep, but I'll be on the ipod, so might be absent from the flailing /o\

According to Amazon/Royal Mail tracking, there was an 'attempted delivery' of my bluray boxset of all the Harry Potter films (note: I've only seen the first 4, I'm not sure how I missed the others other than a general dislike of cinemas etc).

There is no parcel anywhere (there is a reception where post is left), there is no note saying they attempted delivery.

I WANT MY HARRY POTTER. I ORDERED THEM ON THE FIRST OF OCTOBER IT HAS BEEN A VERY FRUSTRATING WAIT FOR ME.

Customer: I'm in quite a bit of pain, can you give me anything?
Me What type of pain?
Him: In my chest mainly.
Me: Any other symptoms?
Him: Yeah, my arm is tingling.
Me:...go to your doctors (in the same building) now and explain, they'll see you right away.

Always interesting working in a pharmacy.

The guy did come back with a prescription and it wasn't anything serious, thankfully :)
